A Public Interest Mandate, of course!

At its most basic, CIRO regulates investment dealers, mutual fund dealers and trading activity on Canada’s debt and equity marketplaces. Through these powers we serve the public interest.

But how that service is achieved through regulatory responsibilities, policy, innovation and across all CIRO departments and regions of Canada can get a bit complex.

So, each year, CIRO finds new ways to educate the public and our employees about how our work protects Canadian investors and the capital markets.

This year, CIRO employees were invited to share how they serve the public interest through a fun video format inspired by a social media trend.

Of course, we want all Canadians to understand how our work protects them and their investments!
