Kathryn Chisholm
Ms. Chisholm is a retired energy executive with experience that spans strategic planning,
sustainability, legal and regulatory, investor and government relations, market forecasting and
analytics, media and communications, internal audit and compliance and stakeholder
engagement. Ms. Chisholm is an accomplished corporate and securities lawyer with a public service background that lends itself well to the CIRO Board.
She currently chairs the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and serves on the boards of the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Emissions Reduction Alberta and Palix Foundation. She previously served as Member of the Alberta Securities Commission.
Ms. Chisholm has been inducted into the Women’s Executive Network Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame and received the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association’s “Robert V.A. Jones” Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ms. Chisholm holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Mount Allison University, a law degree from the University of Alberta, a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University and the ICD.D designation.
