List of Acceptable Exchanges and Market Tiers in Canada and the United States

This list identifies the exchanges and market tiers in Canada and the United States that meet the definition of an “acceptable exchange” in the general notes and definitions to Investment Dealer Form 1. The listed securities on these exchanges and market tiers would be eligible for margin as set out in subsection 5311(1) of the IDPC Rules.

When a new exchange or market tier is recognized, they are subject to CIRO staff review to determine margin eligibility. Additionally, any revisions to the financial listing requirements for any exchange or market tier may necessitate a re-evaluation of margin eligibility.
