Rhonda Goldberg

Executive-Vice President and General Counsel, IGM Financial Inc.

As General Counsel and member of the IGM executive team, Ms. Goldberg has overall accountability for the legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate secretary functions across the IGM group of companies including Mackenzie Investments and IG Wealth Management as well as international subsidiaries.

Ms. Goldberg brings deep investment industry and regulatory experience to the CIRO Board.

She is uniquely positioned with extensive knowledge of the securities regulatory environment and the asset and wealth management industry in Canada and globally, gained as a senior securities regulator and as an executive at a public company with multiple registrant operating companies.

Prior to IGM Financial, Ms. Goldberg worked for the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) from 1999–2015 in various senior positions including Director, Investment Funds and Structured Products from 2010–2015. Since 2017 she has served on the Wealthsimple board and served on the board of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) from 2019 until June 2024.

Ms. Goldberg holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western University and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
