CIRO to Hold a Settlement Hearing for Allen Murphy

Toronto (Ontario), March 28, 2024 – A hearing has been scheduled before a hearing panel of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) pursuant to the Investment Dealer and Partially Consolidated Rules to consider whether a hearing panel should accept a settlement agreement entered into between Enforcement Staff andAllen Murphy.

The hearing is not open to the public but will become open if the panel accepts the settlement agreement. If the agreement is accepted, the panel’s decision and the settlement agreement will be made available at www.ciro.ca.

Hearing Date: May 1, 2024 at 10:00 am (Eastern Time)

Location: Toronto, Ontario by videoconference

The alleged violations occurred while Allen Murphy was a Registered Representative with the Thornhill branch of CIBC World Markets Inc. Allen Murphy continues to be employed in the industry in a registered capacity.
