New SRO cancels interim appearance in the matter of Lifan Song

June 2, 2023 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”), now New Self-Regulatory Organization of Canada (“New SRO”), commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Lifan Song (the “Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated December 28, 2022 (“Notice of Hearing”).
The interim appearance in this proceeding scheduled for June 9, 2023 has been cancelled.
As previously announced, the hearing of this matter on its merits will take place electronically by videoconference before a Hearing Panel of the New SRO’s Manitoba District Hearing Committee on September 18-20, 2023, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Central) each day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. The proceeding will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
