As Chief Information Officer, Ian Campbell is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of innovative, robust, and secure information technology solutions. Ian is also accountable for Information Security and the operational delivery of data sharing initiatives with and on behalf of our regulatory partners including public debt trade transparency.
Ian is a senior business and Information Technology leader with extensive experience in the broader financial and regulatory environments as well as in hi-tech industries.
Before joining Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, CIRO’s predecessor organization in 2015, Ian served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer with the Canadian Securities Administrators. Ian also served in senior IT roles at Sun Life Financial and MTS Allstream and acquired extensive global experience by working with Nortel Networks for more than a decade.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration and Computer Science from universities in Northern Ireland.
